  • About the client.

    Poland SHIOK is a festival organised by the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Singapore which aims to increase awareness of Polish culture among the local population.

  • Marketing goals.

    • To encourage as many people as possible to participate in the festival, with only a limited budget.
  • Our approach.

    Our client wanted as many Singapore residents as possible to take part in the event, but there was only a limited budget at their disposal to achieve this goal. Taking these two factors into account, we suggested that the funds should not be diluted but instead they should be directed in full towards one main channel – Facebook, which was the medium with the greatest reach among our target group. Rather than setting up a dedicated website, therefore, we created a Facebook event, which also helped to increase the efficiency of the project in financial terms. This then became the landing page for all advertisements and sponsored posts. Since it was a ticketless event, we knew that people would only plan

    to go there just before the actual date so we started an intensive promotional campaign on Facebook two weeks before Poland SHIOK started, which continued right up to the day of the festival. We reached over 700,000 people with these advertisements, and the event itself attracted more than 5,000 visitors. This impressive turnout meant that our services were retained in order to publicise the next edition of the festival.
